Done, DONE, D O N E – ninth expansion

WARNING: NSFW / graphic content below.

I am officially finished with the expansions! YES! We added the final 25ccs to each expander, for a total of 550ccs/side. I am so ecstatic to have reached this milestone. I was really hoping to be completely done late Spring/early Summer, but my rebel nipple Dusky and his pal necrosis had other plans. Six months after my prophylactic bilateral mastectomy on January 22, 2013, I am finally done with fills! This is what I’m doing right now:

What’s next?

  • 7/31: follow up to make sure I haven’t decided that I want to go bigger
  • 8/19: pre-op appointment
  • 9/03: the long-awaited exchange surgery!!!

That’s a lot of fills!

2013_7_19 fills

100 + 50 +75 +75 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 25 + 25 = 550ccs

Hi, thank you for posting about your journey, I’m 250ccs in and thinking about how big I want to go, have you had the final exchange? Do you have any pictures of how you look after the exchange? I haven’t spoken to my surgeon about over filling yet but it sounds like a good idea, I’m also interested in 450-500ccs but not sure how the final result would look and whether to have round or tear drop

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Hi Erica! Thanks for reading and for your note. Yes, I had an exchange surgery in September ’13 – I got 350cc Mentor round, smooth, high profile silicone implants. Since then I had some complications and another two surgeries with one more to come in August ’14. While under the knife to resolve the complications I had a swap to 450cc. You can find all of my photos if you click on the My Photos link at the top of the page or here: https://nope2bc.com/my-photos/. I also debated about the shape of the implant and ultimately decided to go with round. Another post of mine will take you through my implant type and shape decision process: https://nope2bc.com/2013/08/16/choosing-implants/.

I’d love to know what your doc’s thoughts are and how you are doing through this process! And am happy to answer any other questions, post or email you additional photos, or help in any other way I can.
